KHSA 2021 Spring Virtual Conference has ended

Clarissa Zimmerman

Clarissa Zimmerman is an experienced trainer, educator, and ECE consultant with 15 years of ECE and infant/toddler, ECE/birth-to-five, and TTA experience, and HS. Since 2018, she has been an ECE Specialist with Region IV, providing TTA to 10 grantees in Region IV and serving as the point of contact for 10 grantees of 80 to 708 children each. Earlier, as an Quality Assurance Coordinator with South Carolina Association of Community Action Partnership-EHS Childcare Partnership where she was responsible for identifying needed areas for training and technical assistance in EHS-CCP, assist with the creation and development of the program’s annual training plan and oversee staff qualifications to meet mandated skills and knowledge, work in conjunction with the Director of EHS-CCP to plan and implement the community assessment and annual self-assessment process including the analysis and reporting of data collected. She also worked for a year as an Education Specialist at SC First Steps where she coordinated and provided individualized on-site visits for eleven childcare partnership programs. In addition to her extensive TTA experience, Mrs. Zimmerman held multiple positions in Head Start/EHS programs, including assistant teacher, classroom teacher, education specialist, procurement admin, family advocate, and center director. Mrs. Zimmerman holds a BA in Child Development from Claflin University. Mrs. Zimmerman has received several trainings and certifications in her field to ensure that her expertise remains current, including, for example South Carolina Child Care Training System, Train the Trainer, 2010.
