Carol Love-Coffie has 20 years of experience in the Head Start arena.  Fourteen of the 20 years were in administration and supervision at the grantee level in Florida based Head Start programs. Her previous roles include Deputy Director of Program Services, Education Services Program Coordinator, Family Services Supervisor and Center Director.  Her employment history is also inclusive of roles as a Grant Administrator for children’s services through county government and as a public-school educator.

She began her service as a Grantee Specialist with Region IV in 2019. This role has afforded her an opportunity to provide tailored training and technical assistance to governing boards, policy councils and grantee staff throughout Region IV. She provides TTA support in the areas of leadership and governance, management systems, on-going monitoring and self-assessment. Maintaining knowledge pertinent to areas of family services, community partnerships, leadership development and teambuilding are of particular interest to her. She is enthusiastic about helping program staff recognize and celebrate their strengths as a collaboratively defined level of success is achieved.

Mrs. Love-Coffie received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech/Communication from Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida.
